Who are we?

Here you can learn everything about the work of the Seamen’s Christian Friend Society (SCFS) in  Bremerhaven .
The SCFS is an English seamen’s mission founded in  London in 1846. From the beginning, the explicit goal was to help seafarers spiritually by telling them about the love of Christ, but also helping them in practical ways.
This goal is still alive today and forms the foundation for our ministry in  Bremerhaven .
In the meantime, SCFS is represented in many large ports around the globe —more under International. 

Since 2005, the SCFS exists also in  Bremerhaven / Germany and is represented by the Seamen’s Christian Friend Society e.V. — more under staff.


For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, -whom God set forth as a propitiation by his blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
